Snow day!

Chad built a sled hill after that last big snow. Here Tucker is trying it out, and also playing with the new sled, that was mine when I was a kid.

Chad and Tucker took a ride in the wagon since we didn't have a sled. Tucker likes the wagon rides.

New Words

Tucker now says "down" all the time. I'm not sure he always understands the meaning but its fun to say. He says "Hi" and "Bye" and "shoe". He also starts obsessing over Gracie holding her bowl and saying what sounds like "see see gee see see" over and over! It's hilarious since he is close trying to say her name. Gracie was outside today so she wasn't far away.

Reindeer and movies

Here we are at an Indian restaurant across the street from the movie theater. And Tucker is a little late, but he loves his reindeer antlers now.

Toddler

Here are a few pics of Tucker on the move, carrying his tub of blocks around and being impressed by my mad skills as a block tower builder. And also roughhousing with Francis, and with our sorta matching jackets.

Tucker the Toddler

Tucker is a now a new man: a toddler! He walked two steps in a row on Christmas twice and then walked 5 steps to my friend, Tanya! He really got the hang of it that day and it happened to be my birthday (Dec. 29) so that was really cool. He gets better at walking every day and falls a lot less already. Now we go places and when he gets out of that stroller he is a walking/trying to run maniac. We go to the libraries and he could care less about books while we are there, but he has become obsessed with them at home.

The other great story was when I was showing Tucker his farm animals and asked him "what does a dog say?", and I totally did not expect an answer and he said "ruff" (it may have been woof). I was SHOCKED and almost fell over! He says it all the time every since then. He also LOVES Gracie even though the feeling may not be mutual and chases her around the house! She has to spend a lot of time in the kitchen which I feel a little bad about but it's for her own good. We put up a gate and call it the "safe zone". She will run to it when she's had enough torture. Tucker also loves to admire the dog, Brandy, next door and looks for her during his dinner. He points and says "Woof" when she comes outside.

It's also a lot harder to take his picture since he is a blur. They may all be taken while he is in a stroller or high chair now! We will post something.
