Home sick

I took a sick day today, but Libby is the sick one. We're all going to the Dr this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Tucker and I did some shots.

Wes and Sarah's Wedding

We all met up in South Bend for my cousin Wes and his bride, Sarah's wedding. It was a great time and great to see most of the family. It was Tucker's first wedding, and we weren't quite sure how that was going to work. Unfortunately Chicago traffic and construction turned a 2 hour trip into 4 hours, so were just a bit late.

Here's the lovely couple, Wes' sister Laura and her husband Jeff, proud parents Steve and Rita, and proud uncle and aunt, Owen and Lesa.

Here are some random images from the wedding, including us dusting off the cobwebs to Sing, Sing, Sing by Benny Goodman. Also bedtime storytime, and breakfast at the restaurant sunday morning. And Jaima's obsession with foot photos. :)

The '36 goes on holiday

Here are some pics of us, Mom and Dad, Jaima and Clint and my cousin Owen and Lesa with the '36. Since we have 5 cars and 4 spaces, I had to send the coupe back home for awhile. I'll miss it, but I know Dad is happy to have it for awhile. And special thanks to Owen for fixing those annoying little nuances that I never could seem to find the time to rectify!

First sickness

Tucker got "sick" for the first time. He was acting sluggish and not at all happy. No smiles, which is when you KNOW something isn't right. Then the next morning... blah, pukiness ensued. We thought it might be from teething as his #4 and #5 teeth are coming in, but the Doctor said no, it was viral. By Sunday he was back to his normal cheerful self.

Here he is with Granpa Phillips, and being his typical ladies man with Ava.

Grandma's radio

I just re-restored Grandma's 1935 Philco radio. The first time I did it was 18 years ago, and it was one of the first 2 or 3 pieces I had ever done. It looked ok for the time. These days, I knew it deserved better. So here it is. New cloth, new knobs, restained and a shellac finish. I'm still on the hunt for the chassis. Where it ended up we'll never know.

A few pics from the trip

Here are a couple of pics from last week. The first is Tucker at the hotel in Madison, Wi. The next shows his curly hair that is starting to grow.

Here are some pics from the trip of Back To the Fifties, the Minneapolis Moline junkyard, the Ford COE I am lusting after, and some stuff around Libby's uncle's farm. Click here... For some reason they are not in order but that shouldn't matter.
