First trip to see Santa

We took Tucker to Brown Cow for Sundaes With Santa. He was a bit less than thrilled with the Big Man, but at least he didn't cry!

Tucker's First Kiss

Tucker and I went to my friend Adrienne's house to see her and her two kids, Caden (3) and Ainsley (almost 9 months). First he played well with Caden then later Ainsley once she woke up. It was nice to see him interact with other kids instead of just playing near them. When we were leaving Tucker and Ainsley were sitting on the floor together while I got my coat on and they gave each other a hug completely on their own! Then Ainsley even gave him a kiss on the cheek all on her own! It was SO CUTE!

More Christmas pics

As I was going through the rest of the Christmas pics, there were just too many good ones, so here is the full batch. Some of the highlights are the piano, the pics with the fleet and the cats.

In other news, Tucker is getting in SIX teeth now. It's crazy. He has been remarkably in a good mood most of the time.

Christmas 09 part 1

Christmas with Grammy, Grandad and Aunt Jaima and Uncle Clint was very tiring. So much stuff to see and do and play with and only 15 minutes before bedtime!

Night at the Museum sorta

Thanksgiving weekend, when Mom and Dad were up, we met Libby's parents up at the Glenview Naval Air Station Museum. It was tiny but interesting. Tucker had a good time crawling around. I was super excited to see an original insignia on a Wildcat cowling from the war. The radial engine was from an Avenger that was rescued from the lake 60 years later.

This month flew by!

We're a bit behind again, so here is an update. I put lots of pics in this link from Tucker's other birthday party and just playing around in the yard.

Tres Thirty Six

Here some more pics from the day of Tucker's first birthday party in Indiana, with 3 of the '36 Fords including 1 of Tucker's multiple '36 roadsters. He is a Hill afterall, and 1 is never enough. :)

Happy Birthday to you...

Here are some pics from Tucker's FIRST first birthday party. He had a blast, and did a little boogie when we sang happy birthday. Thanks to Grammy and Aunt Jaima for throwing a wonderful party!

That's my boy... part 2

We had a club meeting at our house, so Tucker wore his Pileup shirt for the first time. He proceeded to grab his yellow '36 Ford toy, "drove" it into the kitchen, and sat down. He grabbed his spoon, flipped the car over, and decided he needed to fix a few things. Almost made me cry...

Fall

Here's Tucker's first time playing in the leaves on a nice day. Of course now that there are lots of pretty leaves, it's cold and has been raining for the last 4 days...

Where did the time go?

It's been a busy month. Sorry for the lack of updates. Working weekends, the Pileup, Tuckers's first birthday, my 20th class reunion, and our 4th anniversary. More later...

Enjoying Local Fun

Tucker and I went to the nearby Octoberfest so he could learn about his German roots and hear some polka. (It was also because Chad was working a lot and we needed to get out of the house!) He had a late nap so he did fine staying up late and loved seeing so many people and live music. On the way home with his first walk in the dark he was pointing to the street lights with this serious look - his new skill pointing to lights or ceiling fans. It was cute. (No photos though.)

I have found a local Moms group so that is going to be great for us! We went to the park twice and met some really nice moms in the area. Tucker played in the sand for the first time. Kind of made me cringe at first but he seemed to enjoy it so what could I do - just watch and make sure he didn't eat any of it!

Baby Genius

Tucker figured out how to open the buffet, so Libby got out the child locks and put it on. The next morning he noticed the lock, crawled up to it, and in about 20 seconds had it off to play with. He also likes to read, and I approve of his choice of reading material. He did that all on his own, I found him like that and grabbed the camera. Finally a great pic of Libby and Tucker at the park in Oak Park, the day we couldn't get into Kiddieland.

Do you hear that?

While at the photo shoot, I was surprised to see an Avenger, T6 and a Mustang go overhead. A few minutes later when the B-17 went over, I knew something was up. So after the shoot, I stopped by the airport for lunch and some unexpected Mustang oogling.

Photo Shoot

We had a photo shoot today for Tangerine Scream, but since I was early to the location, I decided to have some fun with my sorely neglected Chevelle. She must have been appreciative, because look how awesome she looks!

All the World's a Stage

We took the wagon to the last Elmhurst cruise night on Wednesday, and as usual, he was hamming it up. It was pretty hilarious. Developed a freeze plug leak on the way home. That was less hilarious.
