History repeating

Here's a pic of Tucker and I at the piano. He had fun making noise and of course he loves music. This photo is similar to one my Mom took of me at that age with my great grandma, Nana at this very piano. Pretty cool.

And here's a different pic of me at the piano with Nana.

Thirsty

We went to Parky's Smokehouse in Lebanon, and Tucker was in a fine mood. He was ready to party! Hey, what's that tall glass? It looks tasty!

Food

Tucker has been eating rice cereal for a couple weeks. He's doing really good with it. Only one day did he not seem interested. Here are a few trips while we were back home in Indiana.

Goodbye Grandma

Hard to believe it's been a week since Grandma passed away. It's been tough on everyone in the family, but especially Dad and Jaima. We are all blessed for having known her, and she was blessed for the life she had...98 years, 3 kids, 5 grandkids, 8 great grandkids and 9 great great grandkids.

Whenever I would call her, all I would say is Hi Grandma, and she would always reply Hi Kiddo. She always knew it was me, everytime. Having spent summers with her for years, we were pretty close. After a couple trips to the hospital in the past few years, I was worried she would not know we were having a baby, or to see the birth. But each time the Dr's said it wasn't good, she was home within days, back to normal. She was tough!

I'm so glad she got to meet Tucker. She always told me to give that beautiful little boy a great big kiss from his great grandma. I can still hear her say that, and I always will. When we brought Tucker to the hospital to visit, she lit up right away, and it was like she wasn't even sick at all. She was so happy to see us and Tucker. It kills me that Tucker will never remember her. He will know all about her though... we'll all see to that.

The picture in the hospital was the last pic I took of her, with Tucker. I wasn't sure about taking it in the hospital. I started to get upset when we left. I didn't want it to be the last time I saw her... but it was. I'm so glad I spoke to her the day before she died. Like the song said, she did it "her way". We love you Grandma, and we'll miss you always.

snow patrol

Libby and Tucker went outside to play in that last snowstorm that we had. Gracie went too. They all had a great time. I stayed in the house because I was sick.
